...Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou to name a few. Im not trying to make this a "race thing;" Id just really love to use this app to help me memorize, "Still I Rise." Dont get me wrong. I love this app, but Id love to see a little more selection of poets...particularly poets of color...since were calling this the "classics."

This is not only an easy way to memorize a favorite poem or learn a new one, its also an easy and fun way to keep your brain engaged and healthy. Ive also learned the power of being able to recite a poem when the occasion merits it. Highly recommended.

I love the audio and method used to teach you to memorize these poems. Please keep this going!

Excellent app for memorizing poetry. You have to pay for poems to memorize and all the poems are available for free elsewhere, which likely upsets a lot of people, but what youre paying for is the platform on which you memorize these works. Its pretty good. The only downside is that it ranks your performance on each section with a certain number of points and it doesnt let you know how many points are possible within each section so you dont know if youre performing as well as you should be to "master the poem". Overall a good app. I hope they add further functionality to it in the future, but as of right now its still a good app if you like poetry.

This is a great app for memorizing poetry! I started with an easy poem (Eternity by William Blake) which took me just a few minutes to memorize. The fill-in-the-blank and poetry recital exercises are very helpful. Cant wait to memorize more poems with this app.

The app worked wonderfully. Then I bought a poem package and a day later the app stopped working entirely. It crashes within 0.5 a second of opening. Id like my money back please Penguin.

I was memorizing poems on my own using Eidetic, but it was clunky and not well designed for that sort of use, this is perfect. It takes some dedication, but I am memorizing much better now. So far, they have plenty I want to learn, but that may not be enough in the future. For now it is a decent selection, at least one you would probably want is in there. Hope to see them add more as time goes by.

Indispensable companion, font of ideas, great memorization tool. Wish it were possible to access more and varied poets; wiuld be nice to include a blank slate, too.

Hope to see other literature kinds and works like this one. Shakespeare, Hardy, Dickens,, would be something!

Hard to move around, wish it opened with the state in which I closed it. But great stuff.

Excellent concept, but you cant get a list of included poems. This is clunky, and as far as buying another volume, I wont do that if I dont know whats in it.

I expected from Penguin a boatload of poems to read and refresh my memory of those that I loved as a girl and possibly memorize some new ones. But $.99 is the price for poems after the first 4 of the day. I find it infuriating that publishers still charge full price for electronic books for which theyve have no overhead any longer--no shipping, no warehouses w tight humidity to store books safely. They do not have to hire people to unload, organize, & retrieve anything. It is a computer based system! Of course we should pay the authors royalty rates as WEL as a fee for a small distribution fee for the servers that hold the information.

Love this app! Wish there were more poems, though--these wont take me long to learn!

This app has been a wonderful tool to commit to memory some favorite poems. I note that it has been over two years since the last update; I hope it wasnt the last ever!
